CURRENT ISSUE

Winter is here! While the crisp air reminds us of the changing seasons, we are truly fortunate to experience the gentle embrace of our “sunny winter”—one of the many blessings of living in this beautiful part of Africa. There’s something magical about basking in the golden rays on chilly days, a reminder that adventure and warmth can be found even in the heart of winter.

This season, I encourage you to explore the wonders around us. Venture out on safari, or retreat to the tranquil Eastern Highlands, where evenings by the fire invite us to share stories—both old and new—with friends and family.

In this issue, we celebrate the spirit of women, reflecting on Mother’s Day just passed. Shanna shares her much-needed “motherhood” break at Verney’s Camp in Hwange National Park. We also discover the inspiring nursery project at Hwange Safari Lodge, where we learned a thing or two about nurturing indigenous trees and preserving our natural heritage.

Exciting developments are afoot in Harare, as the newly rebranded Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles opens its banqueting and conferencing facilities—ushering in a new era for the city’s event scene. And for the fitness enthusiasts among us, it’s almost time to lace up your running shoes: registration for the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon is now open!
Lastly, join me on a journey to Cape Town as I explore the extraordinary Zeitz MOCAA Museum—a true cultural gem that promises inspiration and awe. We hope that the stories and features within these pages bring warmth and excitement to your winter days. Thank you for being part of our community— may you find adventure, connection, and joy wherever the road takes you.

See you on the road!
